How much does it cost?

$10, once. There's no subscription and no account to create. You answer 50 short statements first, then pay to see your results — and the price is stated before you start, not sprung on you at the end.

Is it free to take the test?

Answering the questions is free. Seeing your profile and full report is what costs $10. We tell you that on the first screen rather than after you've spent eight minutes on it.

What do I actually get for my money?

A twelve-section report: your five trait scores and what each one means for your relationships, what you bring to a partnership, your growth edges, the profile the research says fits you best, the one that clashes, and the questions that reveal which is sitting across from you on a first date. It opens on the page immediately, and we email you a permanent link so you can come back to it any time.

How accurate is a Big Five personality test?

The Big Five is the framework most personality researchers actually use, because it's stable over time and replicates across cultures. That's a genuine advantage over four-letter type systems, where a large share of people get a different result on retest. What it can't do is predict any individual relationship — personality is one input among timing, circumstance and chemistry.

How is this different from a Myers-Briggs or MBTI test?

MBTI sorts you into a box; the Big Five measures five continuous traits. Retest reliability is the practical difference — people frequently come out as a different MBTI type weeks later, which is a problem if you're making decisions on it. We use the Big Five and map your two highest traits, or your single dominant one, onto one of fifteen relationship profiles.

Who wrote the reports?

Every profile is checked against the research and signed off by Norman Rehman, M.A., Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. He trained in the Gottman Method for couples work, which is the best-known research programme on what actually predicts whether relationships last.

How long does the test take?

About eight minutes. There are 50 short statements, one per screen, and your progress is saved if you close the tab by accident.

Can I get a refund?

No — because the report is delivered immediately and in full, all sales are final. That's why the $10 price is on the first screen of the assessment rather than the last: so the decision happens before you spend eight minutes, not after. How many personality types are there?

Fifteen. Five traits taken two at a time gives ten paired profiles, plus five more for people where a single trait clearly dominates. All fifteen are readable for free — the assessment is what tells you which one is yours.

Is this a clinical assessment?

PsychSoulmate is an educational tool based on personality research. It is not a clinical assessment, a diagnosis, or a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.
